The Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) on Microsoft Windows XP credential recognizes individuals who have demonstrated the baseline skills to enter the IT industry as a support desk technician in a Windows-based desktop environment. Whether you are a career-entrant or a current support technician, you can readily pursue MCDST certification - an important step in advancing your career as an IT professional.
Entrance Requirements
Ideally students should have a matric certificate and/or a good knowledge of a Windows Operating Systems.
For those who are not computer literate, the necessary training will be held before the commencement of this year course.

The MCDST credential is appropriate for technicians who wish to further the knowledge of operating systems.

Examinations and Assessments
Learners write the CCS IT examinations for each module. Learners may elect to write the International Microsoft and CompTIA examinations at CCS’s Authorised Prometric Testing Centre. The costs for International exams are not included in the course fees.
