Vendor-Neutral IT Certification Exams
CompTIA is the world's largest developer of vendor-neutral IT certification exams. Experts and industry leaders from the public and private sectors, including training, academia and government work with CompTIA to develop broad-based, foundational exams that validate an individual's IT skill set. This group of experts provides the resources and subject matter expertise necessary to build a vendor-neutral industry-defined exam. To date, more than 600,000 people worldwide have received a CompTIA certification.
CompTIA certification programs are the recognized industry standards for foundation-level information technology (IT) skills. Best known for the A+ certification, CompTIA offers many certifications in key technology areas. Many of our certifications are electives or prerequisites toward advanced certifications, such as Microsoft's MCSA and Novell's CNE.
Once you are certified, you are certified for life. The certifications do not have an expiration date nor do you have to retake a test after an upgrade.
Certification Programs Launch Your Career
CompTIA certification programs are known throughout the technology community as one of the best ways to break into the information technology field and build a solid career. Many companies preferentially hire people with certifications.
Already certified? Acquiring additional CompTIA certifications will add to your current credentials and pave the way to more lucrative and challenging positions. Top technology companies like Cisco, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Novell use CompTIA certifications as electives or equivalents to their own certification tracks.
