70-310 Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework

Description

The goal of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills that are required to develop XML Web services-based solutions to solve common problems in the distributed application domain. The course focuses on using the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft ASP.NET and Universal Description, Discovery and Integration(UDDI) to enable students to build, deploy, locate and consume Extensible Markup Language(XML) Web services.

Entrance Requirements

Before attending this course, students must have familiarity with XML, VB experience and minimal C# experience. Developing Microsoft ASP.NET, Web Applications Using Visual Studio.NET, Programming with Microsoft Visual Basic.NET and XML Overview is recommended.

It is intended for experienced software developers who have previously built component-based applications.

Examinations and Assessments

Learners write the CCS IT examination, the pass mark for which is 60%. Learners may elect to write the International Microsoft examinations at CCS’s  Authorised Prometric Testing Centre. The costs for International exams are not included in the course fees.
